Preproposals are due 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, May 16th, 2008.
If your preproposal is accepted, full proposals will be due 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, August 15st, 2008.
Preproposals must be submitted electronically to the NICCR web site (click "Submit Preproposal" below) using the official NICCR

Steps to submit a preproposal.
- Read the RFP.
- Download the Preproposal Template. (see warning below)
- Fill in the Preproposal Template according to directions in the RFP.
- Go to the Submit Preproposal Page.
- Fill in all fields on the web form.
- Use "Browse" to upload your completed Preproposal Template.
- Click "Submit".

WARNING! You must open this document in MS Word to fill it in. Usually, your browser will prompt you to either save the file or open it in Word. Occasionally, some browsers will open the document in a browser window. To prevent this, you can right click the button and choose "Save target as" and then save the document to any location you like. Also, if the document is open in a browser window you can choose the page option and save the document to your computer.
Preproposal Submission is currently closed. We expect to re-open preproposal submission early in March.
All preproposals will be reviewed for scientific merit and adherence to the terms of this Notice by an independent panel. Recommendations of that panel will then be reviewed by NICCR, which will make final decisions about the preproposals. Those decisions will be communicated to the applicants via e-mail as soon after the submission deadline as possible. Proposals will be accepted only from applicants who are notified by NICCR that their preproposal is acceptable .
