Student Organizations

It is the mission of Student Life and Development to complement the academic program of studies at Fort Valley State University and enhance the overall educational experience of students through the development of, exposure to, and participation in social, cultural, intellectual, recreational and governance programs. While the scope of Student Life and Development is broad, the development of programs is founded in encouraging students to explore and participate in activities that provide opportunities for self-realization and growth in individual and group settings.

Students are strongly encouraged to participate in co-curricular organizations, academic clubs, guild, sororities, fraternities, honor societies, drama and music groups. Most organizations are open to all students; some are for students majoring in a specific discipline. ALL of these organizations afford many opportunities to grow academically, socially and personally.
