SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
has temporarily suspended its tour program. This is because the scientific program at the laboratory is shifting its primary focus from high energy physics to photon science.
In addition, a major construction project on site has significantly limited the tour destinations.
We plan to use this temporary suspension to re-energize our tour
program so it more accurately reflects SLAC research. This action
will also assist the lab in addressing the current budget shortfall.
