UMass Extension Products and Services

UMass Extension provides products and services through the three units described below. In addition, you will find free fact sheets, other materials and information on upcoming educational events available on program websites.

• Extension Bookstore
  The Bookstore distributes publications and other items produced or used directly by UMass Extension faculty and staff as well as publications produced by the Arts Extension Service. Most of these products are available for sale with other informational material available as downloadable PDF files at no charge.
• Plant Diagnostic Services
  The Plant Diagnostics Laboratory, located on the UMass Amherst campus in Holdsworth Hall, serves farmers, horticulturists, landscape contractors, turf managers, arborists, nurseries, and others in agriculture and the green industries. It provides reliable and prompt diagnosis of plant problems for these industries. The lab also assesses ticks for Lyme disease as a service to the public.
• Soil Testing Services
  The Soil and Plant Tissue Testing Laboratory, located on the UMass Amherst campus in the West Experiment Station, provides a broad range of soil tests to companies and residents of the Commonweath.
• Program Email Lists
  UMass Extension hosts several electronic mailing lists developed and maintained by our own programs and teams as well as affiliate and partnering organizations.
