Stewardship Projects

Stewardship in the NERRS
The stewardship program is playing a key role in developing a landuse/habitat cover classification and mapping protocol to be utilized by reserves throughout the system. National initiatives in the reserve system, such as the System Wide Monitoring Program, the Coastal Training Program and the Restoration Science Initiative, are directed by integrated workgroups representing the stewardship, management, research and education programs.
