Subscribing to an AgCal Calendar

Subscribing is the process of connecting your personal information manager (i.e. OutLook, Google Mail, Apple iCal) to an online AgCal Calendar.

Groupwise Users: At this time Groupwise does not support iCal calendar feed sharing, but has announced that this feature may be available in future Groupwise releases.

If your computer does not have an iCal compliant application you may receive an error stating that your system does not have software to support the subscribe process. If this is the case you will not be able to utilize the desktop subscribing feature.

The following instructions should work for the majority of products that support subscribing to iCal formatted calendar systmems (like AgCal).

Subscribing

Step 1: First you will need to locate the subscribe link associated with the AgCal calendar you wish to subscribe to. This link will usually be provided near the listings on any AgCal event listing. This is usually indicated with an image that looks like .

Step 2: Click on the subscribe link. This should prompt for your calendar client (i.e. Microsoft Outlook) to add this calendar. In Outlook you will see:

Click "Yes" to add the calendar to your client. This will automatically add a new calendar instance to your client and download all the events in the AgCal calendar. In Outlook your calendar view will now show your default Outlook calendar as well as the new AgCal Calendar (as seen below).

Subscribing to Multiple Calendars

Your client may support subscribing to multiple calendars. We know that Outlook provides this functionality. Simply repeat the above process and a new AgCal calendar will be added.

This functionality may be different or not available based upon which calendar client you may be using.
