The rate of all nonfatal crimes against fell steadily from 1992 to 2005.

For all nonfatal crimes at school, the rate per 1,000 students was 142 in 1992, peaked at 155 in 1993, and fell steadily to 57 in 2005.

For all nonfatal crimes away from school, the rate per 1,000 students was 138 in 1992, peaked at 139 in 1993, and fell steadily to 47 in 2005.

For thefts at school, the rate per 1,000 students was 95 in 1992, peaked at 96 in 1993, and fell steadily to 33 in 2005.

For thefts away from school, the rate per 1,000 students was 68 in 1992, peaked at 69 in 1993, and fell steadily to 23 in 2005.

For violent crimes at school, the rate per 1,000 students was 48 in 1992, peaked at 59 in 1993, and fell steadily to 24 in 2005.

For violent crimes away from school, the rate per 1,000 students was 71 in 1992 and fell steadily to 24 in 2005.

For serious violent crimes at school, the rate per 1,000 students was 10 in 1992, peaked at 13 in 1994, and fell steadily to 5 in 2005.

For serious violent crimes away from school, the rate per 1,000 students was 32 in 1992, peaked at 35 in 1993, and fell steadily to 10 in 2005.
