International Technology and Program Assessment

Since 2001, Argonne has provided a global technical perspective to the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, monitoring and reporting to DOE on relevant vehicle technology activities in Europe and Asia.

Argonne’s International Technology and Program Assessment effort has the following objectives:

  • Identify technology development trends, programmatic activities, and specific components related to DOE’s Vehicle Technologies program activities;
  • Assess significance of key government and industry developments; and
  • Identify mutually beneficial opportunities for DOE cooperation with international entities.

Argonne also produces reports and presentations on the environmental highlights of the major international auto shows, focusing on electric, hybrid, fuel cell and hydrogen technology. Reports include auto shows in:
