The Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Regulatory Services Section works to preserve the quality of agricultural inputs and outputs to protect consumers and maintain a fair marketplace.
From sampling the quality of feeds, seeds and fertilizers and protecting livestock health to registering pesticides and inspecting dairy farms, these and other regulatory services assure the integrity of the food chain. Regulatory Services also houses the Weights & Measures Section which ensures that merchants are fairly charging the stated price for goods.
