NYISO Comments - New York State Energy Plan
On November 26, 2008, the NYISO submitted its comments on the New York State Energy Plan, addressing topics that included the benefits of New York’s well functioning wholesale electricity markets, building on the NYISO’s planning processes, and a portfolio of solutions for New York’s energy policy challenges.
NYISO White Papers - Supplying safe, reliable, environmentally compatible energy at a cost people can afford is one of the key issues facing New York State and the nation. The NYISO is committed to assisting policy makers as they address these issues and has prepared white papers on several important topics:

True Grid: Smart Metering and Advanced Technologies, a two-day symposium and technology expo on the future evolution of the grid, was conducted by the NYISO on May 8-9 in Albany, NY. The proceedings of the event, including remarks and presentations provided to the NYISO, are available to download.
Independent Market Advisor Annual Report for 2007 - The 2007 State of the Market Report, prepared by the Independent Market Advisor, is a comprehensive look at the performance of New York’s wholesale electricity markets in 2007. The report states that the NYISO “operates the most complete set of electricity markets in the U.S.” and that “NYISO markets are at the forefront of market design and have been a model for market development.”
