Choosing the right University for your graduate studies is one of the most important decisions you will make. You want the very best! The Ohio State University has much to offer with 131 programs leading to the master's degree and 98 leading to the Ph. D., including a number of interdisciplinary programs.

Ohio State will afford you the opportunity to work with members of our outstanding faculty. Our graduate faculty has the national and international reputation you would expect at a world-class university. Members of our faculty are scholars at the cutting edge of their professions and include Pulitzer and Nobel Prize winners, Guggenheim Fellows, and Fulbright Scholars.

Consider joining more than 10,000 graduate students pursuing their studies at Ohio State. No doubt, we are a big institution. However, most of our graduate programs have fewer than 100 students enrolled and can provide a collegial and supportive environment for graduate study. You'll also have the opportunity to take advantage of the extensive resources characteristic of a large university.

Sponsored research supports thousands of individual research projects and provides graduate research associateships for more than 1,700 students. In addition, more than 2,700 students are supported through graduate teaching associateships and graduate administrative associateships.

A leader among research universities in awarding doctorates to minorities, Ohio State offers a diverse academic and social atmosphere. A number of administrative offices help to provide a positive social and academic environment for Hispanic, Asian-American, and African- American students, as well as other student populations.

Prospective students are strongly encouraged to contact OSU Graduate Admissions for more detailed information on graduate studies at Ohio State, admission requirements, and application deadlines. You may contact Ohio State by e-mail to request additional information.
