Issue
<p>Positron emission tomography (PET) is a form of nuclear medicine imaging that detects and establishes metabolic abnormalities in tissue. A PET scanner produces an image of the area of interest through the detection of radiation emitted from a positron-emitting radionuclide that is introduced into the patient and that accumulates in the target tissue.</p>
