Greg Turner

 Director, Business and Information Services

Greg TurnerMr. Turner is responsible for financial and acquisition support management systems that enable mission accomplishment at ORNL. In this capacity, he sets policy, develops standards, and implements self-assessment and auditing practices for financial and contracts management to assure compliance with laws, regulations, and DOE requirements. Under his direction, the Business and Information Services Directorate also provides financial analysis in support of the Laboratory's planning, budgeting, and decision processes. The directorate's areas of responsibility include procurement, accounting, business analysis, business systems, small business contracting, and prime contract administration. Mr. Turner also serves as Chief Financial Officer for UT-Battelle, LLC.

A native of Washington State, Mr. Turner earned a bachelor's degree in business from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, and an MBA from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. Before joining ORNL, he worked at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory for more than 25 years in finance and contracting.

Mr. Turner is active in United Way, having served as the ORNL campaign chairperson and also on various allocation committees. He recently served on the board of the American Museum of Science and Energy.
