The Office of Vice President and Provost is responsible
for the day to day operation of the campus. The office
provides leadership and supervision for all academic
programs, undergraduate and graduate, participates in
institutional planning, and advises the president in all
matters pertaining to the academic functions of the
university. Additionally, it provides leadership in
faculty matters and in the development and implementation of
academic policy, representing the campus on appropriate
University System committees, and working with other chief
academic officers in the University of Maine System on
matters of common concern.
The Provost also helps set the research agenda in
collaboration with the Vice President for Research. |
