The In-State Development program provides assistance to local destinations in tourism, product, and service development as well as managing the turnouts and signage program dollars. Projects involving turnout construction and signage needs require application to access the funds. You can download the program brochure to learn about what projects qualify for nomination to the annual grant program. Nomination packets are available in July of each year. Learn the Basics of Developing Interpretive Signs by Attending a Workshop!Wyoming Travel and Tourism in conjunction with our state and federal partners will be providing a series of workshops on the basics of developing interpretative signs. You will learn to develop interpretive text and learn about standard design guidelines, fabrication methods, and installation requirements. Workshops are limited to 20 participants. Each participant will receive a workshop binder and reference materials. Scholarships to attend the workshops are available and limited on a first-come, first-served basis. The scholarship includes the registration fee and workshop materials. Those organizations or government entities considering applying for WTT Turnout and Sign grant funds or have received funds are strongly encouraged to attend the workshop.

Destination Marketing Specialist (DMS) Program
Wyoming Travel & Tourism has developed a professional certification program for individuals who work with the traveling public. The purpose of the program is to acknowledge frontline personnel as certified travel professionals, develop a trained and knowledgeable workforce for the travel and tourism industry, and create a more visitor friendly Wyoming. 

The certification program consists of three levels of recognition with each level increasing in difficulty. Candidates will be tested on their knowledge of the state of Wyoming and how well they can access information. Topics include, but are not limited to, geography, history, culture, traveler safety, flora and fauna, attractions, hunting and fishing, and the economic impact of travel and tourism. Customer Service and Information Centers
Customer Service Representatives answer traveler inquiries by phone, e-mail, and through information centers. Centers are located in Cheyenne, Laramie, Sundance and Sheridan. Materials that meet brochure guidelines for tourism businesses and local destinations are distributed through these centers at no charge.
