Wyoming Main Street Program
The Wyoming Rural Development Council administers the Main Street Program, which provides Wyoming communities with opportunities to strengthen local pride and revitalize historic downtown districts by utilizing the Main Street Four Point Approach: economic restructuring, design, organization, and promotion. Laramie, Dubois, Green River and Rawlins are participating in the pilot program. The program also has a revolving loan fund, which provides low interest loans to help with storefront renovations. Mary Randolph, State Program Coordinator at 307.777.6430. Visit www.wyomingmainstreet.org.

National Mainstreet Programs
Throughout the nation, communities are using the Main Street approach to revitalize their traditional commercial districts, whether they have officially designated Main Street programs or simply incorporate Main Street into existing economic development, historic preservation, city management, or urban and community planning programs. Whatever form a preservation-based revitalization initiative takes, the national network of coordinating and local Main Street programs provides action and support on all levels.

Downtown Development Planning
The Wyoming State Library, in partnership with the Wyoming Business Council, is scanning local planning documents so municipalities and economic development agencies have access to what others in Wyoming have done. These documents include downtown development plans, revitalization plans, and regional economic development plans. Visit http://will.state.wy.us/planning/index.html.
