GRO-Biz, the Wyoming Procurement Technical Assistance Center, helps businesses sell their products and services to government entities by assisting them with the registration process and contract searches. GRO-Biz is staffed by dedicated and knowledgeable people who have experience in dealing with government contracting systems. Primary funding is the United States Defense Logistics Agency with matching funds provided by the Wyoming Business Council and the University of Wyoming. GRO-Biz is a partner in the SBDC Network of services for Small Businesses. GRO-Biz services are provided at no cost to clients.

Quick Overview of Services

  • Business Consultation: GRO-Biz staff meets clients individually to help develop a government marketing strategy. They assist with the myriad of registrations needed to do business with the federal government including a DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System), CCR (Central Contractor registration), CAGE code (Commercial and Government Entity), DSBS (Dynamic Small Business Search) and ORCA (Online Representations and Certifications). GRO-Biz also provides guidance with applications for Small Business Administration 8a assistance, the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program, and HUBZone certification.
  • Electronic Bid Matching Service: GRO-Biz subscribes to a bid-matching service that reviews daily government bid opportunities and searches for matches with goods and services that clients offer for sale. Whenever a match is found, clients are sent a notice by email. To receive this service, a business needs to register with GRO-Biz and provide information about their company's capabilities, goods, and services.
  • Bid/Proposal Support: GRO-Biz provides pre and post contract award assistance, helps with interpretation of solicitations, and reviews bid packages. GRO-Biz also assists with bidder application forms and GSA schedule solicitations.
