Ergonomic Interventions in the Building, Repair, and Dismantling of Ships

Easy Fixes: Cable Bridges

Hazard: In many shop areas, welding leads, electrical cable, and air hoses are scattered across the floor creating a tripping hazard and increasing the likelihood of equipment damage.

Solution: By stringing cables, etc. onto cable bridges over a designated walkway in a shop area, one reduces both the tripping hazard and damage to equipment (see photo).
