Resources for E-Grant Application

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is phasing in receiving all grants applications electronically. Many online resources are available for assistance.


A centralized online portal for finding and applying for grants from 26 Federal agencies, including AHRQ and the National Institutes of Health.

A Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number is a unique nine-character identification number provided by the commercial company Dun & Bradstreet (D&B). An applicant organization has to acquire a DUNS number before applying through Grants.gov.

A vendor database for the Federal Government. An applicant organization has to register with the Central Contract Registration (CCR) before applying through Grants.gov.

The NIH electronic Research Administration system that allows applicants/grantees to electronically receive and transmit application and award information.
