Technology Transfer Introduction

In the course of its work for DOE, Y‑12 develops useful new technologies that have commercial applications. Through licensing, Y‑12 transfers commercial rights for such technologies to the private sector. Through Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), Y‑12 works with private-sector industries on research and development projects of mutual interest.

If you want to learn how to work with us, read about CRADAs, the established process for conducting joint research projects.
