Affirmative Procurement

   Introduction

Affirmative procurement is a term used to describe an organization's policy to purchase products made with recycled material. The term also encompasses a policy to purchase environmentally friendly products including those with reduced packaging. Through the efforts of a three-site Affirmative Procurement Committee, many recycled products are now available for purchasing by UT-Battelle employees. In many cases a choice of virgin and recycled product is offered on AVID or in Stores. Please use the recycled products whenever possible.

REMEMBER
If you're not buying recycled, you're not recycling
