Pesticide Management Education Program (PMEP)
PMEP promotes the safe use of pesticides for the user, the consumer, and the environment. PMEP serves as a pesticide information center for college and field extension staff, as well as growers, commercial applicators, pesticide formulators/distributors, environmental and conservation groups, and private citizens.

Pesticide Applicator Certification
Providing information on the requirements for commercial and private applicator certification, training, resources and instructors. This program is managed jointly through Cornell University and the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.

Pesticide Application Recertification Training Courses
In New York State, certified pesticide applicators must be recertified in each pesticide category or subcategory every three years. Recertification can be achieved by accumulating the amount of continuing education credits required for each category/subcategory. The Recertification Course Calendar is a "warehouse" for pesticide applicator courses.

Cornell's NYS Pesticide Product, Ingredient, and Manufacturer System (PIMS)
Provides information on pesticides that are currently registered in New York State.

The DEC is the state agency that regulates pesticides, is responsible for compliance assistance, public outreach and the enforcement of state pesticide laws.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation provides outreach to the regulated community and the public on pesticide issues.

Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program (PESP)
PESP
, located within the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is a voluntary program that forms partnerships with applicators to work to decrease potential health and environmental risks associated with the use of pesticides.
