Climate

Average summer daytime temperatures range from mid-high 70's with cool evening temperatures in the 50's. Autumn temperatures remain warm through October. Winter highs average in the mid-30's with snow cover of one inch or more exists an average of 54 days throughout the season.

Did You Know?
Since the passage of the "Steerage Act of 1819", passenger manifests have been required for all arriving vessels to be delivered to the U.S. Government and reported to Congress. This document, used for inspection at Ellis Island, has become an important starting point in researching family history.
