At Egham, we hold one of the world's largest collections of microorganisms, with over 28,000 living and 400,000 dried specimens. We have 40 staff who are involved in offering microbial services to businesses, academic institutions and researchers worldwide. In addition they are researching into the unique properties of our collection, with a view to exploiting microorganisms to find new and exciting medicines, food products, biopesticides and more.

We also have over 20 highly experienced CABI scientists based at our Egham site who are working on scientific projects throughout the world.  In 2005, we worked in a total of 70 countries on local, national and global projects, including invasive species management, biopesticides, sustainable agriculture and commodities.
