Cornell Vegetables
The Cornell Commercial Vegetable Production program is a cooperative effort between Extension educators and horticulturists, entomologists, pathologists, economists and engineers at both the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station (NYSAES) in Geneva and academic departments at Cornell University. This website provides resources for commercial growers.

The Vegetable Team
Contact information for Cornell and Extension experts who can address issues and provide assistance in the following: direct marketing, farm business management, entomology, IPM, plant breeding, plant pathology, post-harvest, production/cultural, seed technology and weed managment.

Food Safety Begins on the Farm
This guide provides reasonable steps that a grower can take to reduce the risk that pathogens will contaminate food produced on the farm.

Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs)
GAPs is a national comprehensive educational program for growers, packers and their workers with a goal of reducing microbial risks in vegetables and fruits.

This group represents growers in various state, regional and national levels and is a co-sponsor of the annual New York State Vegetable Growers conference, combining the fresh market, storage and processing statewide vegetable meetings for growers.

In order to meet the fruit and vegetable industry's demand for third party certification services of its GAPs and HACCP practices, the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets' Division of Food Safety and Inspection has developed the Produce Quality Assurance Program.
