If you're having trouble viewing a webcast, try these tips.
|
Be sure you've downloaded the Basic
RealOne Player. Be sure to download the free basic RealOne Player by selecting the player on the right-hand side of the Real.com page.
|
If you are behind a firewall or proxy server, you may need assistance with proxy settings
from your own information technology specialist first. If IT security allows it, open TCP port 554 on your firewall. If this request is denied and you have an http proxy server, you can stream through that. Inside the RealOne player under view => preferences you will find some proxy settings. Put in your proxy server and port and then go to the transport tab. Make sure you check on "use http only" while checking off all other transport selections.
|
If your operating system is running Windows Media, you will still
have to download the free Basic RealOne Player. HUD does not encode
video for Windows Media at this time.
|
If you think a webcast has been scheduled, but can't find the link
on the webcast page, links don't appear on the webcast page until
a few hours before the show starts.
|
If you test the links before the start time, you should see a screen
that indicates that you are too early for the show.
|
If you missed the webcast and would like to view it now, please
visit the archives. Shows are usually archived by the next business
day.
