    Governor tours disaster scenePresidential Declaration: Federal Disaster Assistance Now Available
    The President has made a Major Disaster Declaration for four California counties after devastating wildfires whipped by Santa Ana Winds destroyed hundreds of homes and burned tens of thousands of acres in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Riverside and Orange Counties over the weekend of November 15th.     Governor Schwarzenegger signed legislation that will strengthen the state's ability to respond to emergencies and natural disasters. Assembly Bill 38 merges the Governor's Office of Emergency Services (OES) and Office of Homeland Security (OHS) into a single, streamlined cabinet-level agency and legislation that enhances emergency assistance to disaster victims.
