Welcome To Albuquerque

Albuquerque IHS BuildingWe hope you will find this site informative and that it will facilitate your efforts to obtain information about Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (AAIHS). This site will provide the Area Circulars, which are used to issue temporary operating policies and other Area programs information such as Records Management, Ethics, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Indian Health Manual, and Freedom of Information (FOI).

Other policies that not available on the website but are maintained by the Resource Management is the AAIHS Delegations of Authority, AAIHS Indian Health Manual (IHM) Chapter Transmittal Notices and internal policies.

The Directives and Delegations Control Officer is responsible for providing advisory services and assistance to AAIHS managers for the development, clearance and distribution of AAIHS policy directives.

The AAIHS strategic planning direction is to provide quality of care, economic viability, and prevention in public health and communication and/collaboration with tribal governments. AAIHS alone cannot protect the health of the American Indian people. However, by engaging with others – from tribal governments and urban Indian communities, state and local health agencies, and universities– we can achieve our vision of a better world, with safer, healthier people.

We will continue to provide you with more current policies as they become available.
