Who are we?

The NRC Archives operates under the umbrella of the Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (NRC-CISTI).

The NRC Archives is involved with the preservation of NRC related archival materials and provides ongoing support to the NRC. The NRC Archives also provides a comprehensive reference service to those interested in learning more about the development of scientific research at the NRC and about the history of science in Canada.

What the NRC Archives can do for you

The NRC Archives is the steward for all NRC-related published and non-published materials. The NRC Archives can provide:

  • a comprehensive research service
  • historical fact checking
  • archival consultation
  • copies of original documents
  • access to over 10,000 NRC-related documents
  • access to over 1000 photographs, spanning the entire history of the NRC
