Jesse Kindra Selected as Branch Chief

OTT has selected Jesse Kindra, J.D., as the new Branch Chief for the General Medicine Branch. The Branch handles the patenting and licensing activities for a wide range of technologies reported by a variety of NIH institutes. Jesse was formerly a technology licensing specialist in the Cancer Branch where he handled a large docket of cancer-related technologies. Prior to joining OTT in 2003, Jesse was Senior Corporate Counsel at a product development company where he specialized in preparing patent applications, licensing intellectual property, managing litigation, and counseling corporate executives on intellectual property strategy. Jesse also worked in a law firm where he gained experience in patent prosecution and litigation.

Jesse received a law degree (J.D.) from Capital University Law School, an M.S. from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
