Established in 1948, the Walla Walla District boundaries encompass more than 107,000 square miles in parts of six states. Our most valued asset, our more than 650 District employees, serves the public by:

     -Generating hydroelectric power
     -Facilitating inland navigation
     -Designing and building for our Nation
     -Responding to floods and other natural disasters
     -Protecting and restoring the environment as well as our region’s cultural resources
     -Assisting in endangered species recovery

Many Walla Walla District employees have voluntarily deployed to support our Nation’s efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan, assisting these developing democracies rebuild their infrastructure.
