The Office of the Inspector General is dedicated
to seeking out waste, mismanagement and fraud in government spending
and
ensuring the accountability and integrity of all state agencies. This office will: review procurement and public contracts; receive complaints; and perform investigations to make certain that programs are in compliance with State laws.
In
November 2004, former Governor Richard J. Codey signed Executive
Order No. 7 creating the OIG and
on July 1, 2005, the OIG was permanently established under
N.J.S.A 52:15B-1 et seq.
