Notes:
The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians is a seeking a career-minded dentist for the Lambert Tribal Health Center Dental Clinic, St. Ignace, MI. The Commissioned Corps or salaried position is full-time with generous benefits including paid vacation, sick leave, and continuing education, as well as health and disability insurance, and 401K(tribal hire only.) Federal or state loan repayment may be available.

The beautiful four-chair clinic has one full-time dentist, 1 hygienist, two assistants, and a receptionist. Public health or military experience preferred. DDS or DMD with Michigan and DEA license required. Native American preferred.

St. Igance, MI, is located on the northwestern shore of beautiful Lake Huron, just north of the Mackinac Bridge. There are sugar-sand beaches for recreation in the summer, as well as excellent fishing, boating, and hiking in the nearby national forests and lakeshores. Winter activities include downhill skiing (at the Boynes and others), cross-country skiing (several trails are nearby), great snowmobiling, and ice fishing. A new clinic to replace this one has been funded and will grow to 6 chairs.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in your own clinic, yet be part of a progressive dental program (this clinic is a “satellite” of the Sault Ste. Marie clinic.)
