Geospatial One-Stop Accessibility
The Geospatial One-Stop Team is committed to making every possible effort to
ensure that content on this Web site is equally accessible to all users, including
people with disabilities. The geodata.gov Web site pages have been designed
to ensure that they are usable for visitors with disabilities in a way that
is comparable to the access available to others.
Our Commitment:
- To make our site equally accessible to all users, including people with
disabilities.
- To ensure compliance with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), Wb Accessibility
Initiative (WAI) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG 1.0).
- To provide a good Web experience for all users.
Here are some ways we accommodate online accessibility needs:
- Good clear Web site design with a defined presentation and writing style.
- Images and image type buttons on the site contain "alt tags," which aid
users who listen to the content of the site by using a screen reader, rather
than reading the site.
- The Web site can be navigated without using a mouse.
- User interface controls have associated label elements.
- The pages do not require the use of a style sheet.
- The pages do not rely on color usage or coordination to provide information.
- Provide the opportunity to reach those without the latest technology.
