Second Public Review Draft of the Unified Synthesis Product
Global Climate Change in the United States

 

 

 

Dear Colleague,

You are invited to provide comments on the Second Draft of CCSP Unified Synthesis Product. This product is an integrative summary of the 21 Synthesis and Assessment Products of the Climate Change Science Program (CCSP), as well as the recent IPCC Fourth Assessment Report, and other recent results that have appeared in the scientific literature. By producing this summary, there will exist a single coherent analysis of the current understanding of climate change science, summarizing the contributions of the CCSP Program, and identifying important gaps in the science.

This draft has been prepared in accordance with the procedures outlined in the charter of the CCSP Synthesis Product Development Committee.

Comments received during the current 45-day public comment period will be taken into consideration by the Lead Authors in the preparation of a second draft, as required by the Guidelines for Producing CCSP Synthesis and Assessment Products. Once the revisions are complete, the second draft of the Synthesis and Assessment Product will be submitted to the CCSP Interagency Committee for approval.
