Tracker

Tracker provides real-time bus information for a specific timepoint or geographic area.

Unlike traditional bus schedules, Tracker lets you see and track the actual status of your bus, so you know when your ride is really coming. Instead of waiting at the bus stop, use Tracker to help you spend your time the way you want to - running another errand, finishing up another project, or simply waiting inside.

Service Exceptions Note: The system that provides bus location information to Tracker is not able to show accurate bus locations or arrival times when buses are rerouted due to weather, traffic, road or other operating conditions that are beyond Metro's control. Generally this will result in a "No Information" message on the Location View screen; however, sometimes trips may be displayed along the portions of their routes that they are serving, but may then be rerouted before reaching you. We apologize for any inconvenience. You are encouraged to visit Metro Online for information about reroutes we know about and how Metro operates during adverse weather.

Metro offers two Tracker applications, both which use information from Metro's Automated Vehicle Location (AVL) system:

The location view application provides you with real-time bus departure predictions at specific timepoint locations along a bus route.

Take a look at the location View for more information.

Map View

The map view application provides you with real-time bus location information. It displays an online map of the locations of Metro buses currently in service. In addition to showing bus locations, you can set an alert to notify you when it's time to leave to catch your bus.

The map view has stringent browser requirements. You can check the system requirements before you launch the application.

If you have any questions or comments about the Tracker applications, please e-mail tracker@kingcounty.gov.
