Educational Fee Waivers

National Park Service policy allows waivers for educational and scientific groups engaged in the study of resources specifically related to the park. These waivers can be granted to such groups if it is determined that the proposed visit is not primarily recreational in nature.

Fee waivers must be applied for at least one month prior to your planned visit. This link provides the guidelines and materials you will need to include with your application

The highest mountain in Death Valley National Park is 11,049 foot Telescope Peak. The vertical drop from the peak to the Badwater Basin is twice the depth of Grand Canyon.
