Public Transportation

At this time, there is no public transportation of any kind available to Death Valley National Park. The nearest commercial airport is in Las Vegas, Nevada 120 miles to the east. Rental vehicles are available there.

Many tour companies do visit the park and many do travel through the park enroute to other destinations, but all such services must be arranged with the tour companies.

Telescope Peak, 11,049 feet above Badwater Basin  

Did You Know?
The highest mountain in Death Valley National Park is 11,049 foot Telescope Peak. The vertical drop from the peak to the Badwater Basin is twice the depth of Grand Canyon.
