NOFA Massachusetts Outreach
Nofa mass's outreach program is an educational arm of the organization which interfaces with the public. Outreach staff and volunteers attend fairs, festivals, conferences, farmer's markets, anywhere we might be able to talk with members and non-members about NOFA's ideals and programs. A few of the many topics people we meet wish to discuss are NOFA's concerns about local organic food, farmer and gardener issues, our environment, the impact of healthy food production/distrubition, our children, our communities, the earth's environment and our local economy. Stop by our table and have a chat or pick up some interesting and relevant literature We thrive on personal exchange, ideas and connections.
We also give talks / presentations at libraries, schools, garden clubs etc.
Ways you can help:
-Inform us of events etc in your area that would be of benefit for us to attend.
-Book us a speaking engagement.
-Help us compile a list of farmer's markets, health food stores and CSA's in your area.
-Volunteer:
-Distribute literature to libraries, health food stores, CSA's , farmer's markets etc.
-Person a table at an event-get free training, free entrance fee , and most importantly meet lots of like minded folks as you spread the NOFA word. It's great fun!
-Join the organization and encourage your family and friends too
