Legislative Summaries, Testimony, and Reports

New Mexico's modern-day natural resource legislation dates back to 1874 when the state provided for the right to construct and operate acequias (historic irrigation ditches).  National legislation that defines NRCS New Mexico's authority dates back to the 1930s.  The 2002 Farm bill structures programs that are critical to our state and bring conservation to New Mexico farmers and ranchers as never before.
