Information for Communities

Picture of homeConservation in urban areas is a major issue in New Mexico.  NRCS  is working to connect with small towns and major cities to assist them with land and water conservation issues.  In addition, the health of rural areas that helps sustain our cities is critical to our large state.  NRCS New Mexico partners with communities and local governments to bring main street together with the farm and ranch.  We feel this is a vital step to building community as local civic organization members come to better understand the issues facing neighboring rural residents.
