Build It Smart Focuses on Hearing Conservation in the State of Washington

Description:	A partnership of unions, contractors, insurers, the University of Washington, and state agencies in Washington state was among 10 nominees for NORA Partnering Award 2003, presented by NIOSH. The partnership has developed a pilot hearing conservation program for construction workers. The program includes training, testing, centralized recordkeeping, and efforts to reduce workplace noise.
