Options for Obtaining Requested Information
01/13/2005
- You may review the files in our office and copy the needed
information using a machine provided by us. If your total
photocopies are 400 or less, all copies are free. If your
total photocopies exceed 400, you will be charged $0.25 per
copy for all copies (e.g., 401 = $100.25). Microfilm copies
will be charged at the rate of $0.50 per copy. Payment
may be in the form of check or money order. Credit cards are
not accepted. Checks are to be made payable to "Treasurer
-- State of Illinois". No copies may be taken
until payment is received. (State agencies, constitutional
officers and members of the General Assembly are exempt from
paying fees per state regulations.)
- You may bring your own machine to copy the needed information.
- You may contract with a copy service to either copy or scan
the entire paper file(s) requested; or schedule a file review,
tag relevant documents and have a copy service copy them.
All documents must be copied at our office located at 1021
North Grand Avenue East, Springfield. Microfilm can
be copied by FOIA staff (microfilm to microfilm only). All
arrangements with vendors must be made by the requestor. If
you contract with a service, you must notify our office of
the vendor selected, then have them call us to schedule the
copy date. Following is a list of vendors we are aware of who provide
