NCCOS EMS SCOPE
The NCCOS EMS applies to all of NCCOS as a single EMS. This includes NCCOS headquarters, four laboratories and two centers. The EMS elements that apply to these organizations reflect the function of the particular organization. Some of the EMS elements apply to NCCOS as a whole, others apply to all of the laboratories and centers and several are specific to individual laboratories and centers. For example, the NCCOS Environmental Policy applies to all of NCCOS, the Environmental Aspects apply to all the laboratories and centers, and operational controls are specific to the activities of individual laboratories or centers act. The following table describes how different elements of the EMS apply to different organizations within NCCOS based on their function.
