Enforcement Orders
The Illinois EPA developed this web page to provide ready access
to information on its environmental enforcement activities. The
Illinois EPA's Division of Legal Counsel is responsible for the
development and coordination of formal enforcement cases in conjunction
with Illinois EPA activities. Included on this site are
interim and final orders obtained, beginning with calendar year
2002, through the Illinois Attorney General's office or other
prosecuting authority, settlement and administrative citation
orders with the Illinois Pollution Control Board, USEPA Administrative
Orders where Illinois EPA is a signatory, appellate decisions,
and federal court orders. Each record is indexed by case-specific
information, and a searchable summary field is also given for
each case.
Form settlement documents are also provided. These form documents
are used by the Environmental Enforcement/Asbestos Litigation
Division of the Office of the Attorney General and the Illinois
EPA. The form consent order is intended for use in circuit court
cases and the form Stipulation and Proposal for Settlement for
enforcement cases before the Pollution Control Board. Each is
provided in both Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat formats.
