Mission and Services

The Master Gardener Program assesses community needs for home gardening education and develops programs to enhance home gardening experiences.

The University of California Cooperative Extension master gardener volunteers provide information, problem-solving expertise, and educational opportunities about home gardening and environmental horticulture to county residents.

Master gardener volunteers provide seminars, workshops, demonstrations, and plant clinics throughout their county. Master gardeners staff information booths at local events to expand their contacts within the county.
