ResourcesCirculationThe National Library of Education (NLE) is the largest federally funded library devoted entirely to education. Its circulation policy provides an overview of the rules governing the loaning of materials. Collections The National Library of Education (NLE) collects primarily in the area of education with special emphasis on theory, policy, and research. The general collection consists of more than 100,000 books, about 850 periodical subscriptions, and more than 450,000 microforms. Besides the general collection, NLE also has a number of special collections. Reference The Reference and Information Services Division of NLE, the federal government's principal center for one-stop information and referral on education, answers hundreds of education-related questions every week from patrons across the country. |
