Senator Norma Champion joined by Erick Taylor of Ramey Price Cutter Smitty’s, Inc. (RPCS), John Morrison with Missouri Grocers Association and Missouri Department of Agriculture representatives announced the new Missouri-made section being added to five Price Cutter Plus stores in the Springfield area including Nixa and Ozark. These sections, set up near the produce section in each store, will include over 85 Missouri-made products from 15 AgriMissouri members from across the state.

“We commend the Price Cutter Plus stores and RPCS, Inc. for bringing Missouri products into their stores and giving consumers an easy place to find these great products,” said Sarah Gehring, marketing specialist of the Missouri Department of Agriculture. “AgriMissouri™ members offer an array of excellent food choices and now they can be found in one easy location in Springfield.”

“Bringing the display of AgriMissouri™ products to Price Cutter Plus is an excellent example of what we can do with public and government entities to benefit consumers, manufacturers and rural Missouri,” said Senator Norma Champion today in Springfield. “I look forward to consumers in our state easily finding Missouri-made products in the stores. This is a great economic tool for the whole state.”

The Missouri-made section in Price Cutter stores is a pilot project. The goal is to launch a successful program that can be implemented in stores across Missouri. RPCS chose the products currently in the section and they would like to add more products to the Missouri-made section.
