Description: NIH researchers and policy administrators will be interested to learn that the NIH Library now offers access to Essential Science Indicators (ESI), a database containing science performance statistics and science trends data compiled by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI). This unique resource enables researchers to conduct ongoing, quantitative analyses of research performance and trends in science, covering 8,500 journals from around the world; and gives researchers the ability to determine highly cited scientists, institutions (university, corporate, government research lab), nations, and journals.
