Digital Elevation Model (DEM) Data (10m)
DEMs are digital representations of a topographic surface. The DEM consists of a regularly spaced grid of elevation values from which the topographic surface is mathematically modeled. The grid element spacing of USGS DEMs is typically 90m or 30m on a side although 10m DEMs are sometimes specially produced (as in this project). 30m DEMs by state are available from the EROS Data Center, and 10m DEM's are available below.
These files have been archived and compressed using the UNIX TAR and GZIP utilities.
